Mojo Monday 275...

Before I get into this blog post proper, I would just like to say an absolutely MASSIVE thank you to all those who have taken the time to look/leave such encouraging comments on my recent posts.  I thought that as I had been away for a while that it would take an age for people to see that I was back, but I obviously forgot how warm, welcoming and wonderful this card making/paper crafting community is and I have been blown away :)  So, thank you :) Anyways back to the cards...

I have not played along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for sooooo long it's ridiculous.  Well, no more!  The sketch is a bit out of my comfort zone as it pushes me out of my CAS style into something a little more embellished - hopefully it doesn't just look like a great big jumble!!  It's good to push the boundaries a little though :)

Here is the sketch;

And here is my jumble!

Because I am not used to having so many layers, I really struggle with choosing enough colours to provide the definition between the layers whilst, hopefully, it not looking like a great big mess!  You'll have to let me know what you think because I'm really not sure about how this has turned out - it is growing on me though :)

Thanks, as always, for stopping by :)

A New Little Someone...

My endeavor to create and blog more frequently is going well so far ... I am aware it is only a few days into the year however!

Here is a card for my friend who is going to have a little baby girl any day now - I am very excited!  I used the sketch for this week's Viva La Verve challenge by Teresa Kline.  I love her work and this sketch is awesome - I may have to use this one again soon :)

The light that I have is a bit rubbish, so until the sun comes out I'm afraid you'll have to put up with slightly crappy photographs!  I was quite pleased with how this card turned out - I hope my friend likes it too :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

This week the sketch is;

And here is my take on it;

Let It Snow...

Hello there!

How is everyone this morning?!  Good I hope :)

I am going to get into the swing of things early this year and posting regularly is right up there on my to-do list.  Over the past few years I either seemed to have a lot of time or no time at all - this was due in part to work and other boring life commitments, but also to falling out of the habit of photographing and actually posting about the cards I made.  This year I am determined that it will be different and I am planning (with all the good intentions that January brings!) to make a considerably stepped up effort to come here more often!  I hope you don't get bored of seeing me so often!

Anyway, that's my little waffle over - on to the more interesting part, hopefully!  :)

Here's a little card I made for two challenges - WOW! Embossing Challenge where the theme is Ice & Snow and CASology where the cue word is 'Winter'.

I don't know if it shows up very well in this photograph, but the snowflakes are fabulously sparkly!  As is usual, this card looks better in real life but I hope you can get the general gist of it?!

Thanks for dropping in :)

If you would like to know what I used for a particular card then please feel free to email me and I will happily oblige - it would make rather a long list to name everything!  :)
